Pool Opening

Brand New Pool Opening

  1. Add water, fill to the middle of the skimmer opening or to the manufacturer's recommended level.
  2. As the pool fills, periodically check the bottom for any wrinkles, damage or leaks in the liner. Inspect all hose connections and fittings for signs of leaks.
  3. Once filled, balance your pool water. Use the “Test” section of the app to test all parameters and adjust them to the ideal range if necessary. These levels must be balanced to protect your pool surfaces and equipment from damage.
  4. Add a pool opening kit. These are recommended to establish clear, balanced water in your new pool. Follow opening kit instructions as directed.
  5. Use a net to remove any debris in the pool.
  6. Brush the walls, floor and steps of the pool and vacuum if needed.
  7. Check that your filter is functioning properly, clean and backwash if needed.
  8. Begin routine circulation. Circulate pool water for at least 6 hours daily to avoid buildup.
  9. Test water again and make any final adjustments using the “Test” section of the app. You can swim in it once all levels are in the ideal range.

Great! Your pool is now set up and ready for use! Start the Bliss Pool EasyCare weekly (using the “Easy Care” section of the app) and test your water after every use or at least 2 times a week.
